Ford Motor has appointed former chairman of the US Federal Communications Commission William Kennard to its board, adding &samhoud restaurant that the profile Kennard, a man who has experience in Washington, would be a plus. Kennard, 57, succeeds former director &samhoud restaurant Homer Neal, who has reached retirement age. Kennard, who is also a former US ambassador to the European Union, is currently Chairman and co-founder of Velocitas Partners LLC, an asset management firm. His appointment to the board of the carmaker will enter into force on 1 January, a day after the departure of Homer Neal. Kennard will sit on the Nomination and Governance Ford, the company said. Neal, who has served on the board for 18 years, left the band before his term ends in May, according to the statement. Ford's shares fell 1.9% to $ 14.99 at the close in New York, while the index Standard & Poor 500 fell 1.6%.
