تم ولله الحمد عقد اللجنة الإستشارية لهذا العام لقسم ال IMT وذلك كمتطلب أساسي لبرنامج الإعتماد الأكاديمي ACBSP وكذلك كمتطلب حيوي ومهم لأخذ رأي الصناعات من ناحية برامج القسم ومستواها وجوانب القصور فيها.
أستهلت الجلسة بشرح مختصر من الدكتور bradley consulting group هيثم عبدالمنعم والأستاذ أسامة خطراوي والأستاذ عادل الرفاعي والأستاذ حسن الحجي لبعض جوانب التطوير التي حصلت في القسم منذ الإجتماع الأخير ومنها التحديث لبرامج الدبلوم للتوائم مع برامج الكلية الجامعية. bradley consulting group كما تم مناقشة أمور ذات علاقة ببرنامج البكالريوس ومدى قابلية إمتصاصه bradley consulting group من ناحية سوق العمل. أيضا تم مناقشة وضع برنامج الماجستير التنفيذي وماهو المأمول منه في المستقبل لخدمة مدينة ينبع الصناعية والمجتمع bradley consulting group المحلي.
وقد bradley consulting group أجمع المشاركون على أهمية موائمة برامج ال IMT مع ال MS وذلك لقوة برامج الكلية الجامعية وتخصصيتها. كما أثنى المشاركون على برنامج SAP التدريبي المقدم للطلاب bradley consulting group وأنه أضاف قيمة تنافسية لهم في سوق العمل. كما أوصى المجتمعون بالتوسع في برامج الدبلوم لتشمل إدارة الموارد البشرية والتسويق وإدارة اللإمدادات اللوجستية بينما أوصو بإغلاق برنامج بكالريوس الإدارة لعدم حاجة الصناعات للتخصصات العامة وإنما للتخصصات الدقيقية.

The Industrial Management Technology (IMT) department at the Royal Commission Yanbu Colleges and Institutes (RCYCI) held its Program Assessment and Evaluation Committee (PAEC) meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Shangri-La Restaurant. Dr. Abdullah Basiouni HOD and chairman of the committee started the proceedings with a brief overview of the IMT programs and goals achieved in this academic year. The following main topics were discussed in the meeting:
Dr. Haitham said that the community has shown continued interest in the program; the first batch started in 2012 and had 18 students has graduating in June 2013; the second batch had 19 students who will graduate this year, and the third batch of 18 students will take their degrees in June 2015. He also said that the admissions for the fourth batch are currently open.
Mr. Osamah Khatrawi told the members that the IMT department offers associate bradley consulting group degree in Finance and Accounting, Materials Management, and Office management since there is good demand for graduates from these disciplines in the industry. However, the Bachelors program does not provide specialization in these areas. Instead a general specialization in management is provided because of which students are not showing interest in the Bachelor degree. bradley consulting group He also explained that students are keen to get bachelor degrees in management disciplines but there is a need to align YIC-IMT courses with those of YUC-MS.
Mr. Adil discussed the matter of AD programs and BSc status in industry and said that based on studies by co-op training supervising faculty members at YIC, 70% of employees hold Associate degree while 25% have Bachelor degrees. The rest have higher education or secondary school degrees. bradley consulting group So, it is very clear that companies rely on associate degree students more than BSc students. So AD program should be supported and developed further bradley consulting group to meet and satisfy the needs of national companies.
b. Mr. Fawaz, Saleh, Turki, and Ziyad said that in their organizations, the demand for Associate Degree holders is higher than for BSc degree holders. This is more so when it comes to contractors of the mother companies.
e. For the BSc, they suggested that it is a good move to align IMT-AD courses with YUC-MS courses. Yet, they raised the importance of opining new AD programs of the current MS degrees to meet the demand for lower management professionals such as creating AD in HRM and MIS.
At the end Dr. Abdullah Basiouni acknowledged the help from Dr. Khaled AlZahrani (HoD – Industrial Relations) for his great logistic management and financial support. He also thanked Dr. Hazim Moria (HoD-Quality Assurance) for his valuable comments and overall support.
